Why does God allow spirits to roam the earth?

Heaven and Hell are separated by this thing called earth. It is here that angels and demons fight for our very souls in a dimension that we cannot even fathom, but will one day instantly see when we pass from our earthy mortal bodies, to our new spirit bodies. Where you spend eternity is dependent on whether or not you accepted the Creator through his Son Christ Jesus.
