In paranormal entity who picks up the camera in the end?

so at the end thomas finds his sister on the chair but the camera felll and we couldn't see what happened after that, there was a gurgling sound? did thomas choke her? why did he stop yelling her name? the blood on her was cleared out....why? i know thomas didnt die because in the beginning of the movie he calls 911, but when he noticed sam died why wasnt he screaming he just filmed her?? confusing kinda pissing me offf
